Addictions Team Lead
Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00
Salary: £41,200 – £52,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Addictions Team Lead to join a well-established, specialist inpatient service in North London. The service provides high-quality, structured treatment within a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment, supporting individuals through evidence-based addiction programmes.
The Role
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the delivery of the addictions therapy programme. You will lead and manage a small, dedicated team consisting of 1 Senior Therapist and 3 Therapists, ensuring high standards of clinical care, programme delivery, and staff development.
While the primary focus of the role is leadership and team management, you will also hold a reduced clinical caseload of approximately 15 hours per week, maintaining your therapeutic practice and supporting complex cases where needed. The therapists within your team will typically manage caseloads of around 22 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support the addictions therapy team
- Deliver and oversee structured group and individual therapy programmes
- Ensure effective implementation of a 12-step model-based programme
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development for staff
- Foster a positive, compassionate, and high-performing team culture
- Organise and coordinate therapeutic programmes and schedules
- Maintain high clinical and governance standards within an inpatient setting
About You
- A qualified and accredited therapist (e.g. BACP, HCPC, UKCP, AFT or equivalent)
- Strong background in addictions therapy with experience in the 12-step model
- Proven experience leading or managing a therapy team, ideally within a residential or inpatient setting
- A confident clinician with the ability to balance leadership and hands-on therapeutic work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A compassionate, people-focused leader with a passion for developing others
- Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate programmes and manage team performance effectively
