Job Title: Water Quality Apprentice
Location: Kettering
Salary: £16,500
The Role:
The Water Quality apprentice role will be to support the Water Team Leader in establishing, implementing, and maintaining high standards and effective systems for commissioning across Infrastructure Gateway Limited to ensure the efficient and safe management of water commissioning activities.
This role will involve collaborating closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to ensure that all aspects of the commissioning process are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

Assist in the scheduling of pressure tests, chlorination works, flushing, samples and mains connections.

Liaise with Commissioning Operatives & Network Technicians regarding works.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Incumbents & IDNO’s..

Ensure the timely creation and submission of CRMC and Live works applications

Carry out regular checks on job cards, Commissioning and CRMC paperwork.

Book and chases samples with relevant water companies.

Inform regions of depress and post connection sample passes.

Ensure the AutoCAD Technicians are informed via email of completed CRMC connections and post connection sample passes Insert key accountability / responsibility.

Assist in the development and distribution of comprehensive commissioning plans for current and upcoming water mains projects

Address construction or client queries related to “as-laids” and maintain active communication channels with design and pre-construction teams to address any issues as they arise.
- Determine when specialised equipment or specialised approvals are required for particular tasks and liase with sub-contractors

Respond to client queries via email or on the phone

It will also be an important to expand the knowledge of other Utilities (Electric, Gas and Fibre)

Assist Technical Operations with writing RTMLS/FM144s and other tasks when required.

Cover the Water Team leader in times of absence or Annual leave.
What you’ll need:

Strong analytical skills, detail orientated and well-organised.

Keen eye for detail and accuracy

Good use of IT skills and Microsoft Office.

Good communication, both written and verbal.

Admin Experience Preferable but not Required
Education / Qualifications

GCSE Grade 4-9 in Maths and English is Preferred.
