This role would suit someone with experience in garden maintenance and a strong knowledge of plants, who is eager to apply their creativity, skills, and expertise in a varied role. The ideal candidate will have some multi-trade skills, although this is not essential. A formal horticultural qualification is not required for this role, however priority will be given to candidates who can demonstrate their knowledge through their own practical experience.
Duties and skills required include:
- Understanding of seasonal horticultural tasks needed throughout the year.
- Plant and plant care knowledge.
- General garden maintenance including seasonal care of borders, weeding, pruning, cutting back, mowing.
- Ability to enhance garden designs on a basic level (beds, containers and feature areas).
- Assistance with general property maintenance as and when required, this may require carpentry and other skills sets.
- Good knowledge of using gardening tools, power tools and equipment knowledge would be an advantage.
- Driving, on occasion running errands and tasks.
- Role requires a clean Driving Licence.
Monday-Friday role with flexible hours, this role could develop from part-time to a full-time role.
Based in Holbrook, Manningtree, Ardleigh and surrounding areas
