Your job role is nothing but delivering nothing less than "outstanding" care. You should be able to provide over and beyond for our residents. You should make them happy with your approach and engagement.
The role of the Chef in our care home is a significant job. We want to welcome you if you are a Chef who gets only satisfied when everyone is satisfied eating your meals.
We are looking for a bank Cook who can support us as needed.
Our expectations about you.
- A great team player
- Cover when the main Chef is on annual leave
- Cook delicious meals for our residents and staff
- An in-depth understanding of food hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in the catering world or care homes.
- Following good practice IDDSI, Food safety standards, allergens.
- To keep our kitchen neat and tidy as per the cleaning schedule.
- To make bespoke meals as per our resident's needs.
- Record keeping as per the regulatory requirement
- Cook birthday cakes
- Collect feedback from our residents about your dishes
- Make improvements where required
- Take the lead on staff and resident parties in preparing the dishes
- Go over and beyond for our residents and staff
- Wear PPE while at work
