Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Service Engineer specialising in autoclaves and dental equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide range of dental machinery, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with health and safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in laboratory environments or biochemistry, who possess strong IT and communication skills. The position is full-time and involves travelling to various client sites to deliver exceptional service and technical support.

Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on autoclaves and dental equipment to ensure their proper functioning.
- Install new dental machinery at client locations, providing comprehensive operational training where necessary.
- Diagnose technical issues using specialised tools and software, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients regarding equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with the sales team to recommend upgrades or new equipment based on client needs.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Travel frequently across different locations to deliver on-site services efficiently.
Industry Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within the dental industry is preferred. However, candidates with transferable skills in electrical, plumbing or mechanical installation and maintenance will also be considered.
- Proficient in working with dental chairs, air compressors, suction units, X-ray machines, and scanners.
- Good understanding of decontamination equipment such as autoclaves and washer disinfectors. (desirable)
- Excellent fault-finding abilities to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Relevant electrical, plumbing or mechanical qualifications
- Dental Manufacturers training courses
- A full, clean driving license and strong customer service skills are essential for this role.
Specialist Training
Eclipse Dental Engineering is committed to developing specialist knowledge within its engineering team. The successful candidate will receive internal and external manufacturer training with the opportunity to become a lead engineer in autoclaves and decontamination equipment while maintaining broad experience across all aspects of dental engineering.
