About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Attendee Relations Manager to take ownership of attendee acquisition, engagement, and retention across a portfolio of events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with delegate acquisition / attendee relations experience who is ready to step into a broader role with greater ownership, strategic input, and potential people management responsibilities.
This role goes beyond attendee recruitment, you will help shape audience strategy, drive campaign performance, optimise customer journeys, and ensure an exceptional experience for senior executive attendees.
You will also support the development of junior team members, with scope to manage an Attendee Relations Executive as the team grows.
We’re looking for someone commercially minded, highly organised, proactive, and confident engaging with senior executives. The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy taking ownership, and be motivated by delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of attendee acquisition, retention, and engagement across a portfolio of events.
- Drive delegate recruitment through outbound activity including phone, email, LinkedIn, and relationship-led outreach.
- Develop and execute attendee acquisition strategies to meet and exceed registration targets.
- Build strong relationships with senior executives and become a trusted point of contact throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Manage event attendee logistics including travel, accommodation, scheduling, and concierge-level support.
- Deliver an exceptional VIP attendee experience from initial outreach through to post-event feedback.
- Work closely with sponsors and internal stakeholders to maximise meeting outcomes and attendee relevance.
- Analyse campaign performance and attendee data to identify opportunities for optimisation and improved conversion.
- Support the development, onboarding, and coaching of junior Attendee Relations team members.
- Take ownership of specific projects, customer journey improvements, and operational process enhancements.
- Collaborate with leadership on event strategy, audience targeting, and campaign planning.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in delegate acquisition, attendee relations, executive event recruitment, or similar commercial/customer-facing roles.
- Proven experience engaging senior-level decision-makers confidently over phone and email.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to think strategically about audience growth and campaign performance.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with confidence using data to inform decisions.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- Previous mentoring or line management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
