Business Development Manager – Field-Based Sales (New Business)

Salary: £40,000 + Uncapped Commission Scheme

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing field-based sales team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in winning new business within a designated territory while developing strong, lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, appointment setting, referrals, and presentations
- Forecast monthly sales activities and revenue
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new customers
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
- Manage and maintain accurate records on our CRM system
- Research potential customers and follow up on leads
- Attend client meetings, sales events, and training sessions
- Provide regular reporting and feedback using financial data
- Plan and manage your diary to maximise efficiency and performance
- Grow and manage your client database within the assigned territory
What We’re Looking For
- A talented, ambitious, and motivated sales professional
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Determined to succeed and meet both personal and company targets
- Proven track record in B2B sales (internal or field-based)
- Experience in logistics or palletised freight
