About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential home in Reading. This is a high impact leadership role offering full autonomy, strong organisational support, and the opportunity to shape a service from day one.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality, trauma informed care for children with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD), driving standards toward Good and Outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a children’s home in line with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Build and develop a high performing staff team
- Create a safe, nurturing, child centred environment
- Drive quality, compliance, and safeguarding excellence
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategy, development, and continuous improvement
- Ensure strong outcomes and positive experiences for children
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced Registered Manager, or
- Exceptional Deputy Manager ready to step up
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted frameworks
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- A child‑centred, resilient, and values‑driven approach
- Confidence in decision‑making, safeguarding, and operational management
