We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Specialist to join our team. Duties
- Manage the inventory of automotive parts, ensuring accuracy and availability for service operations.
- Utilise CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to track parts usage and reorder levels.
- Process orders through AS400 systems, ensuring timely fulfilment of customer requests.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving of parts, including inspection for quality and accuracy.
- Provide support to technicians by identifying and sourcing required parts for automotive repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts as necessary for the movement of parts within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimise delivery schedules and inventory management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive service or repair is essential.
- Familiarity with CMMS and AS400 systems is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive components.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
