Job Title: Residential Senior Support Worker
Location: Bedfield, Suffolk
Salary: £33,150 per annum (£17.00 p/h)
Contract Type: Permanent
About You:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide dedicated support to a young person in one of our Ofsted registered homes. You will need to be resilient, patient, and committed to providing high quality care in often demanding and challenging situations. Every decision you make will be at the best interests of the young person in your care, all whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the centre of everything you do.
In your role, you will showcase best practice for our Support Workers and support them to promote boundaries and acceptable behaviour for our young people, to enable them to live as fulfilling lives as possible. By supporting the leadership team within the home, you will play a key role to ensure we provide the best care possible to some of the most vulnerable.
Requirements:
To apply for our Senior Residential Support Worker role, you will need:
- At least a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent qualification) in Children’s Residential Care
- At least 12 months experience as a support worker, health care assistant, or similar, working with significant challenging behaviour. This will be in either secure or residential settings
- Experience of leading a shift and showcasing leadership qualities associated in a residential setting
- Be certified and have experience in intervention training (such as PMVA)
- A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a good working knowledge of using IT equipment
