Pool Supervisor –Bognor Regis
Location: Bognor Regis
Hours: 40 hours per week (Permanent)
Pay: Premium pay rates + Bonus Scheme
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pool Supervisor to join the team at a busy holiday resort in Bognor Regis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lifeguard looking to progress into a supervisory role while helping to deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the swimming pool.
- Lead, motivate and support the lifeguard team throughout each shift.
- Ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining the highest standards of pool supervision.
- Carry out regular pool safety checks and water quality testing.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, following all emergency action plans.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures and company policies are adhered to at all times.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest queries professionally.
- Support with staff training, inductions and maintaining operational standards.
- Assist management in ensuring the pool operates efficiently and safely.
Essential Requirements
- Valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Previous experience working as a Lifeguard in a busy leisure or swimming pool environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a swimming pool environment.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
Desirable Qualifications
- NPSQ or NPMQ qualification (highly desirable).
- Experience with pool plant operations and water testing.
- First Aid qualification (if not covered by the NPLQ).
Working Hours
- Permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week).
- Earliest start: 8:00am.
- Latest finish: 8:30pm on two days each week for late-night swimming sessions.
- Weekend working is essential.
- Candidates must be flexible to work any day of the week, including bank holidays.
