About Us
The Mobile Sink Company manufactures and supplies mobile handwashing and portable sink units to customers across events, catering, construction, education and healthcare from our factory in Basingstoke. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Customer Service and Sales Administrator to join our team on a part time basis.
The Role
You'll be a key member of the sales team and often the first point of contact for our customers by phone and email, supporting them from enquiry through quotation, order or hire, delivery, and after-sales care.
Because we run both a sales operation and a hire fleet, you'll need to be organised and adaptable, comfortable switching between processing a product order and coordinating a hire booking with delivery and collection dates.
Main Responsibilities
Customer service
- Act as the primary contact for customers, handling enquiries by phone and email promptly and professionally
- Assist customers with new and existing orders, deliveries, repairs, quality issues and warranty claims
- Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating where necessary
- Help customers with invoice queries and raise credit/refund applications when needed
Sales administration
- Prepare and follow up quotations for both sales and hire enquiries
- Process sales orders accurately and keep customers informed of progress
- Handle requests for product information, availability and lead times
Hire administration
- Set up hire agreements and process hire bookings, extensions and off-hires
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries and collections with customers and our transport partners
- Track hire fleet availability and flag upcoming returns
- Record and process charges for damage, loss or late returns where applicable
General
- Work closely with production, warehouse and accounts teams so that orders and hires run without interruption for the customer
About You
Essential
- Previous experience in a sales administration, customer service or similar office role.
- Confident, friendly communicator on the phone and in writing
- Experience preparing and issuing customer quotations
- Computer literate, comfortable working across email and business systems
- Organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple orders and bookings
- Calm under pressure, with a genuine willingness to go above and beyond for customers
Desirable
- Experience with a CRM or order management system
- Experience in a hire, rental or logistics environment
- 2+ years' administration experience
