Job Title: Full Time HGV Class 1 Driver (Driver CPC required)
Job Purpose:
Sovereign Turf Ltd and Town & Country Turf Ltd are a well-established farming and horticultural business based in Suffolk.
Based at the head office, our HGV Class 1 Drivers maintain our great service levels. You will often be delivering to building sites and also landscapers on their jobs. This position is a largely multi drop.
Moffett experience an advantage but training will be given to successful applicant.

The Person:

Job Types: This is a full time contract role. Predominantly Monday to Friday but some weekend work required. Some nights out and early starts required.
Licence/Certification: Driver CPC (required) Cat CE licence (required)
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods from one location to another
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers using appropriate communication devices
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of flatbed trucking and securement techniques
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with customers
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
