About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team on a range of commercial and industrial projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in demanding industrial environments, managing both new installations and testing & commissioning activities to the highest standards of safety and quality.
This is a nationwide role and will require regular stopovers away from home. Accommodation and expenses will be covered in line with company policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and manage industrial containment systems including cable tray, cable ladder, trunking, and conduit.
- Terminate and install large Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cables across a range of industrial applications.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of new electrical installations.
- Mechanical installation of equipment associated with the electrical work.
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients to ensure work is completed on time and to specification
- Comply fully with site safety rules, company health & safety policies, and relevant legislation at all times
Essential Requirements
- Time-served Industrial Electrician with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- ECS Gold Card
- Proven, hands-on experience with industrial containment systems (cable tray, ladder, trunking, conduit)
- Experience installing and terminating large SWA cables
- Experience in testing and commissioning new electrical installations.
- Full, clean UK driving licence – essential for travel between sites
- Willingness and ability to work nationwide with regular overnight stays
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- IPAF licence (3a and/or 3b) – preferred but not essential
- First Aid certificate (on-site)
- Experience working within live industrial environments
