Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our removal company team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting clients’ belongings and ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a professional moving service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload clients’ belongings with care, ensuring items are secured during transit
- Plan routes effectively to ensure punctual deliveries and collections
- Assist with heavy lifting when required, maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding schedules, delivery details, and any issues encountered during transit
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Complete necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, preferably within removal or logistics sectors
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or handling heavy items is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws relevant to commercial driving
