Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and promoting independence. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Follow personalised care plans to meet each client's specific needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with household tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting transportation needs
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to adapt to different situations with empathy and patience
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support individuals with diverse needs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
