Job description:Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Residential Home Manager to lead and oversee a Children’s Residential Home in the Hebden Bridge HX7 area. This vital role involves managing daily operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and fostering a nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive experience in residential care, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people.
Duties
- Lead the overall management of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff members to deliver high-quality care tailored to each child's needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their developmental, emotional, and physical needs
- Oversee medication administration, health monitoring, and emergency response procedures to ensure safety at all times
- Manage daily operations including budgeting, resource allocation, and maintaining accurate documentation of resident progress and staff activities
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families, social workers, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that encourages growth, independence, and dignity for every child
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent NVQ Level 5)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Significant experience working as a Children’s Residential Home Manager (or Deputy Manager) in an Ofsted-registered children’s home
- Thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Enhanced DBS check (with barred list)
- Full UK driving licence

- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent operational management, budgeting, and resource planning abilities
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse team while maintaining high standards of care
