About the role
Aether Agency builds and sells software. You will own new business growth across our two products:
- Aether AI, our AI visibility tool that tracks how a brand shows up across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then helps fix the gaps. Buyers are founders, marketing directors and brand and growth leads who have realised that AI search is rewriting how customers find them.
- Pulse, the operating system for modern security and facilities management. Pulse replaces the clipboards, WhatsApp groups and email chains the industry still runs on with one connected platform: a mobile app for officers, live dashboards for control rooms, a client portal and a full admin suite for managers. It is already live across multiple UK sites. Buyers are security contractors, FM companies and in-house security teams.
Two products, two markets, one sales seat. You will work directly with the founder, shape our go-to-market motion across both lines, and have a real say in product priorities based on what you hear from prospects.
This is a hands-on role for a hunter who likes building, not a desk role waiting for inbound leads.
What you'll be doing
- Prospect and qualify across both markets. Build pipeline through targeted outbound (LinkedIn, calls, events, partner referrals). For Aether AI, that means founders and marketing leaders at SMEs and scaling brands. For Pulse, that means decision-makers in security firms (50 to 500 officers), FM companies and large property portfolios.
- Run discovery calls and demos. For Aether AI, pull up a prospect's own brand live and show where they stand against competitors across the AI engines. For Pulse, walk through the platform end to end (mobile patrols, live dashboards, the client portal, permit-to-work, the FM hub). Tailor every pitch to what each prospect actually needs.
- Close deals. Send proposals, negotiate pricing, manage trials and secure signed contracts. Both products sell on recurring subscriptions with a 12-month minimum term. Typical deal size: Aether AI from £200 per month, Pulse from £750 to £5,000 per month.
- Own the CRM. Keep both pipelines accurate, with clear stages, next steps and forecasted close dates. We will set you up with [HubSpot or Pipedrive, your choice].
- Feed the products. Every "we'd buy if it did X" goes back to the team. You will have weekly time with the founder to shape both roadmaps.
What success looks like (KPIs)
- Pipeline: £200,000 in qualified opportunities (annual contract value) at any time, across both products.
- Activity: 40+ outbound touches per week, 5+ demos per week.
- Conversion: demo to trial 40%+, trial to close 30%+.
- New MRR: £10,000 per month by month 6, £30,000 per month by month 12 (combined across Aether AI and Pulse).
- Net revenue retention on accounts you close: 110%+ at month 12.
You are
- 3 to 5+ years selling B2B SaaS. Bonus if you have sold into marketing or martech, or into security, facilities, property or compliance markets.
- A genuine hunter. You enjoy building pipeline from scratch and don't wait for marketing to feed you leads.
- Comfortable context-switching between two very different buyers and selling each on its own terms.
- Sharp on discovery and demo. You ask better questions than the buyer expected and tailor every demo.
- Comfortable with technical products and able to explain workflows clearly (mobile, web and integrations).
- Disciplined with CRM hygiene and weekly forecasts. Your numbers tell the truth.
- Confident negotiating commercial terms with founders, marketing directors, operations directors, FDs and ops managers.
- Right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
- An existing network in either market: UK founders and marketing teams, or UK security firms, FM contractors and commercial property management.
- Experience selling into multi-site operations or recurring-revenue B2B contracts.
- A working understanding of SEO and generative engine optimisation (GEO), or familiarity with SIA-ACS and NSI Gold standards. We can teach you the rest.
- Experience taking a product to market early, as the first sales hire at a previous startup.
Pay: £25,072.36-£49,462.22 per year
