As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Solar PV Roofer to join our field operations team, supporting the installation and maintenance of solar PV systems across residential and commercial properties.
The Role
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Solar PV Roofer will be responsible for carrying out roofing works associated with the installation and maintenance of solar PV systems.
This includes preparing roof structures, installing mounting systems, and supporting the safe and efficient installation of solar panels in line with design specifications and company standards.
The role requires a strong focus on safety, quality of workmanship, and teamwork, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out roofing works associated with solar PV installations across domestic and commercial properties.
- Prepare roofs for installation, including inspection, minor repairs, and ensuring structural suitability.
- Install mounting systems, brackets, and associated components in line with design specifications.
- Work collaboratively with electrical engineers and labourers to complete installations efficiently.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with company standards, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practice.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship to ensure quality and durability of installations.
- Work safely at height, following all health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are used and maintained appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times.
- Support site inspections, snagging, and quality checks where required.
- Identify and report any issues, defects, or risks to supervisors or management.
- Ensure all works are completed within agreed timeframes and schedules.
- Represent the business professionally on-site, maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Behaviours
Skills
- Strong practical roofing skills, particularly in relation to working at height.
- Ability to follow technical drawings, installation plans, and instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and use of tools and equipment.

Knowledge

Experience
- Proven experience in roofing or a similar trade-based role.
- Experience working at height and in site-based environments.

- Experience supporting installations or maintenance works (desirable).
- Experience within solar PV or renewable energy sector.

Pay: £32,500.00 per year
Work Location: In person
