Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations and lead our team towards achieving organisational goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to organisational growth while ensuring efficient and effective operational processes. Should handle multiple sites, Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket, Learmonth Hotel , Voco Edinburgh Haymarket (IHG), River Ness Hotel.
Main Duties:
Working closely with senior management. Manage systems and procedure all assigned Hotels. Ensure all standard manuals are in place throughout the hotel operation following the Hotel and Company standards of operation and best practice.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Actively seek ways to improve the operation, agree and implement any resulting factors.
- Ensure physical and visual inspection of the hotel, monitoring property condition, cleanliness and quality of product and service standards.
- To produce weekly and monthly reports in line with company reporting procedure.
- Ensure that each department head has a strict operating procedure file with clear S.O. P’s.
- Collaborate with all General Managers to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations and maintain effective communication channels.
- Conduct regular operations meetings with General Managers to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
- Deputize for the General Manager in their absence and represent the hotel at various meetings and events.
- Address and resolve day-to-day queries, complaints, or problems that arise in the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Promote a positive employee relations culture through effective communication, regular team meetings, and fostering a supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of all departments, assessing guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, employee grooming, and overall service standards.
- Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards across all hotels.
- Implement and monitor health and safety system and policies.
- Report Hotel PPM update as per company reporting requirement.
- Location sites may include those under the Umbrella License of Axcel (Hospitality) Management Ltd for training and or audit purposes.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
