Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our night team in creating baked goods from scratch for our wholesale customers and shops. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong understanding of food production processes. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products following specific numbers and recipes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will also be required to clean the bakery and help in other areas like packing and checking orders.
We bake to order so baking the correct numbers is a vital part of the role.
Duties
- This is a night job - shifts range from 4pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday 7 days a week.
- Prepare and bake a wide range of quality baked goods, including bread, buns and morning goods.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area to comply with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate any low stock levels.
- Collaborate with the night team to ensure timely production and delivery of baked items.
Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary or bakery environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
