A depot-based engineering team in Crawley is seeking an experienced PSV electrician to join on a Monday–Friday 06:00–14:30 shift pattern. The role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems on buses to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on PSV vehicles
- Inspect and test vehicle electrical systems and components
- Identify and diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
- Keep accurate maintenance and service records
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a PSV Electrician, HGV Electrician, or similar role
- Full UK manual driving licence (PCV licence desirable, or willingness to obtain one)
- NVQ Level 3 in PSV/HGV electrical systems or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with buses or other large commercial vehicles preferred
- Understanding of PSV electrical systems and CAN bus networks advantageous
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build good working relationships
Pay: £25.57 per hour
