As an Associate Practitioner you will be required to perform ECG’s, respiratory testing and ambulatory monitoring in line with departmental policies.
Duties will include a range of basic cardiac and respiratory investigations and it is essential to have completed or be willing to work towards a foundation degree in Healthcare Science.
Only applicants with a proven history of working as an assistant technical officer in a busy inner city hospital will be considered for this post.
The post is 3 days per week.

FENO and 6 minute walking tests.

- To record ECG’s on the wards, in the department, in outpatients, accident and emergency and in the community.
- To be proficient in ECG interpretation.
- To assist physiologists in Transoesophageal Echocardiography
- To assist with Physiologist led Tilt Table service.
- To assist with Physiologist led exercise service.
- Perform spirometry/ respiratory testing including the administration of Salbutamol.
