We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a busy commercial site in Milton Park on a temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer to work within a professional facilities management environment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a modern commercial facility.
Working Hours
Rotating shifts Monday to Friday:
- 05:00 – 13:00
- 09:00 – 17:00
- 15:30 – 23:30
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
- Inspect, repair and maintain building services equipment
- Assist with new equipment installations and upgrades
- Diagnose faults and replace components including motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, pumps, valves and fans
- Support LV switching and electrical isolations on site systems
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Liaise with contractors and oversee specialist vendor activities
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to site stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and building services
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent using Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
Desirable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience within a corporate or commercial environment
- Multi-skilled maintenance background
- LV switching experience
