We currently have a Team Leader / supervisor position available.
As a Care Team Leader, you will look after the day-to-day needs of our residents, whilst showing compassion, care, and commitment to having a positive impact on their lives. You will work with a team of like-minded individuals, all with a desire to ensuring that our residents are comfortable in their home.
Team leader role:
· Medication administration and compliance with medication policies and procedures.
· Liaise with management team to ensure standards of care are maintained.
· Assist management to complete tasks as required, using team leader folder (audits etc)
· To have a good level of understanding of resident’s condition and baseline health. Manage changes by reporting or providing active support.
· Supporting visiting professionals to ensure residents get the correct level of care.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively.
· Understanding all aspects of health and safety – understanding and applying policies and procedures, visual checks of the environment, IDDSI recommendations and ensure staff comply with them, PPE -donning and doffing and being compliant with the Fire drills and fire test equipment.
· Completing accurate, person-centred unbiased record keeping and giving feedback to management regarding staff or family concerns.
· Demonstrate understanding of person-centred working – supporting individuals to make informed choices, personal views do not influence an individual’s own choices or decisions, understanding of mental capacity and deprivation of liberty safeguarding and that person centred care is promoted at all times.
· Supporting staff on the floor where appropriate
The role would ideally suit someone who has experience of working in a Care home / Nursing Home or Hospital environment with medication administration experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone to work in an outstanding care home and take on further responsabilities. Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable and opportunities to develop yourself are available.
Harbour Rise is a care home with a capacity to support up to 44 residents and our day care centre too. The majority of peole we support require some level of personal care.
