Newgrove House Care Home in New Waltham is a medium sized care home which provides care and support to elderly residents.
We have a vacancy for a part time (24hrs) Kitchen Assistant the hours are 930-530pm 3 x days per week on a rota basis which includes some weekends
Transport may be needed due to location of the home.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the cook, preparing well balanced, nutritious meals for upto 40 residents at one time taking into account individual needs, special diets and allergy requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen areas to food hygiene standards.
- To comply with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Preparing and cleaning of the dining areas within the home.
- Carrying out tea trolleys duties to residents room.
- Create and adjust varied seasonal menus.
- Monitoring of food safety documentation.
- Control of budgets and weekly ordering of food & cleaning products.
- Attend specific training provided by the home to help support our residents such as food hygiene, dementia, safeguarding etc
