Delivery Driver with General Warehouse Operative Duties

Working Hours & Pay
- Full-time position, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Standard working days are Monday to Friday (could possibly include some Saturdays / Sundays)
- Flexibility required to work overtime, including weekends, in line with business needs
- When weekend driving is scheduled, the working week will remain five days; however, these days may vary and include weekend shifts in place of weekday working
Salary & Benefits
- Salary subject to review upon successful completion of the probation period
- Salary paid monthly on the 28th of each month
- 28 days’ annual leave, inclusive of bank and public holidays
Job duties :
- Pack, load and unload delivery vans and trucks, including handling heavy consignments
- Deliver goods to a range of locations, including busy city centres and rural areas
- Complete deliveries along designated routes, which may involve carrying goods up stairs and into customer premises
- Accurately follow pre-planned delivery routes and schedules
- Safely lift and carry heavy products and parcels to the final delivery point
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding any changes to deliveries, routes or schedules
- Obtain and record proof of delivery from customers
- Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy and well-maintained, including regular checks of fuel and oil levels
- Assist with warehouse fulfilment and pack preparation during periods when driving duties are not required
Requirements :
- Minimum of three years’ van driving and delivery experience (essential)
- Previous warehouse experience (essential)
- Full UK driving licence with no driving offences or disqualifications within the past three years
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks, including overtime and weekend work when required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Methodical, organised and detail-oriented
- Conscientious and reliable approach to work
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused manner
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
