About Company Bakery
The mission of Company Bakery has always been simple: to create exceptional sourdough and pastries using traditional techniques, the finest ingredients, and the most sustainable methods possible.
Founded in Edinburgh in 2017 by four friends from the food and drink industry, the ethos of Company Bakery has always been centred on quality: in our products, in our people, in our relationships, and in everything we do.
Eight years on, we serve Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Glasgow seven days a week, supplying hundreds of cafes, restaurants, caterers, shops and homes, in addition to having our very own café in Musselburgh.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Company Bakery at the ground floor of a brand new venture. We are currently developing a new site, and this role will be central to getting it off the ground. You'll initially be based at our current site before relocating to the new facility as it comes online.
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital part in keeping our logistics operation running smoothly. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Washing and sanitising bread and pastry delivery crates to a high standard
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- General warehousing duties including goods handling and stock organisation
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and order across the warehouse and wash areas
- Supporting the wider logistics team with ad-hoc duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- A hardworking, reliable person with a positive attitude
- Physical ability to move large, heavy loads throughout long shifts
- Someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team setting
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential — full training will be provided upon successful completion of your probationary period
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food production environment is helpful but not essential
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends
