Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for maintaining and repairing vehicles. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations.
- Repair and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts as needed for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Utilise schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with reading schematics for various vehicle systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- A full valid driving licence.
