Opus Vitae are looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Buyer to join our clients team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, stock control or supply chain experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their career within procurement and inventory management.
Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring stock availability, supporting purchasing activities and helping the business operate efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Monitoring stock levels and replenishing inventory
- Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries
- Building strong supplier relationships
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and stock records
- Analysing stock movements and identifying purchasing requirements
- Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting stock checks
- Assisting with annual stocktakes and inventory management projects
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a buying, purchasing, stock control or inventory role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
