We are seeking a Section Manager to lead our Children & Young People Disability Service (up to age 25) . This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an integrated, forward-thinking service supporting children, young people and young adults with disabilities to achieve independence, resilience and positive outcomes.
About the Role
As Section Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality disability services
- Drive service improvement, innovation and strategic development
- Ensure safe, effective and person-centred services
- Work in partnership with Education, Health and other agencies
- Support smooth transitions into adulthood for young people
- Oversee safeguarding, statutory duties and quality standards
- Manage staff, budgets and resources effectively.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated leader with:
- A professional qualification in Social Care (e.g. Social Work, OT or Nursing)
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience
- Strong leadership and management experience in complex services
- Extensive knowledge of social care legislation and safeguarding
- Experience of multi-agency working and service development
- A commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice
