Job Role Description:
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant & Pub Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant and pub environment. This is a full-time position with a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring high standards of service, customer satisfaction, and team performance are consistently maintained.
Due to the location of the venue and limited public transport options, access to a car and a valid driving licence is highly recommended.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant, bar and hotel operations.
- Lead, motivate, and support front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Support management with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reporting.
- Ensure the venue is presented to a high standard at all times.
- Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or management experience within the hospitality industry is ESSENTIAL. This is a full time and permanent role.
- Experience working in a restaurant, pub, bar, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
- Good understanding of food safety, licensing, and health & safety regulations.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with hospitality POS and booking systems.
- First Aid, fire certification.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and cocktail service..
- Proven ability to upsell products and increase revenue.
- Experience onboarding, and training new team members.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and hospitality best practices.
- Experience running private events, functions, and large group bookings.
- Cash handling, banking, and end-of-day reconciliation experience.
- Health & Safety qualification or relevant training
