The Estate
Kilchoan Estate is a cultural and educational enterprise dedicated to restoration, education, and spirituality. Spanning 1,500 acres, the estate is actively restoring natural habitats, developing gardens, and caring for heritage-breed livestock.
Daily Operations
The estate comprises multiple properties across the site, ranging from the main residence to a newly developed cabin complex accommodating research students, a variety of residencies, and visiting guests.
Our team consists of approximately twenty full-time employees working across a range of departments, including gardens, estate operations, buildings and maintenance, administration, and housekeeping.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeper to join our team, working under the supervision of the Head Housekeeper.
- This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the estate’s accommodation and shared spaces are kept immaculate, welcoming, and comfortable for the owner, guests, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, living areas, and estate facilities
- Changing bed linen and managing laundry duties
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are well presented
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Assisting with the preparation of guest arrivals and departures
About You
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Positive attitude with a proactive and flexible approach
Due to the estate’s location, own transport is essential
