Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Dalton-in-Furness
Pay Rate: £14.25 – £17.35 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants to work across a range of supportive and welcoming primary schools in the Dalton-in-Furness area. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, offering flexibility to suit your availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
- Assisting pupils with their learning, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Assisting with classroom preparation and general administrative tasks
- Encouraging positive behaviour and keeping pupils on task
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a childcare setting
- Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualifications are highly desirable
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
- Ability to provide professional and contactable references
