We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers with precision
- Utilise power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling components
- Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate construction activities
- Assist in fabrication and assembly of customised joinery items for various projects
- Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing structures as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, screwdrivers
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, saws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
