Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a capable and motivated individual to join our Allocations Team within Housing Services, based at our offices on Hundred Acre Lane, Worksop.
About the role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring Council homes are allocated efficiently and without delay, helping minimise empty properties and supporting our tenants into suitable housing as quickly as possible.
You will:

Manage the allocation of Council properties in line with policy and timescales.
- Provide housing advice to customers through the HomeFinder Choice Based Lettings scheme.
- Work closely with colleagues and customers to progress applications and lettings.
- Help deliver a responsive, high-quality service in a demanding environment.
About you
You’ll be confident working in a busy, target-driven role and able to manage competing priorities with ease. You’ll also bring:

A Level 2 or 3 qualification in customer service, housing or a related field.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork skills, alongside the ability to work independently
- A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction
