Panzers Deli is a fast-paced, innovative kitchen that delivers high-quality dishes to our customers. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Night Production Chef to join our team. This is an essential role that ensures our kitchen operates efficiently during the night shift, supporting the production of ingredients and preparing items for the next day’s service.
Role Overview:
As a Night Production Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and organizing all necessary food items for the following day’s menu and for our retail product range. Your focus will be on food production and ensuring that all ingredients are prepped, portioned, and ready for service. You will work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for the next day’s service, including chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes as required.
- Cooking: Produce bulk food items and prep cooked elements for the next day’s menu (e.g., sauces, stocks, soups).
- Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations. Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food prepared meets the company’s quality standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory by checking stock levels and ensuring proper storage of perishable goods.
- Collaboration: Work alongside other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and assist in any other production tasks as needed.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time to ensure all tasks are completed before the end of the shift.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a chef in a production or commercial kitchen environment (Night shift experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, especially during the night shift.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Good knife skills and experience working with a variety of kitchen equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time.
