Contract: Flexible – Full Days & Half Days Available
Working Hours: 8:30am–5:30pm or 8:30am–1:00pm

A lovely, nurturing nursery in the heart of Chippenham is looking for a kind and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their warm, welcoming team. About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll play a key part in creating a safe, happy, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through play. You’ll support daily routines and work alongside a friendly, caring team who are always there to help and encourage one another.
Responsibilities
- Ensure children are safe, happy, and well cared for at all times
- Support learning through play, stories, songs, and creative activities
- Assist with daily routines including meals, nappies, toileting, and rest times
- Help set up and tidy away engaging activities throughout the day
- Keep play areas clean, organised, and inviting
- Encourage positive behaviour and gentle social interactions
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
- Work closely as part of a supportive, friendly team
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Kind, caring, and passionate about working with young children
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- A positive team player who enjoys supporting others
- Flexible to work either 8:30am–5:30pm or 8:30am–1:00pm
- Happy to help wherever needed within the nursery
- Previous childcare or nursery experience is helpful, but not essential
