Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to stock management, materials handling, and logistics. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Efficiently handle materials, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers.
- Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to ensure timely shipping and receiving.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring all items are stored correctly.
- Perform regular stock checks to identify discrepancies and assist in inventory control.
- Operate forklifts safely when required for moving heavy items within the warehouse is preferred.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain productivity.
- Past delivery driver experience (LWB) would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Strong skills in materials handling, with the ability to lift heavy items safely.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid forklift licence OR valid drivers licence (Delivery driver experience)
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
Shift: 45 hrs +1 hr unpaid lunch
Monday - Friday
8:15am - 6:15pm
