Job Purpose
To safely operate a telehandler forklift to move, lift, and position materials on construction sites while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a telehandler forklift safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, transport, and place materials as directed.
- Carry out daily pre-use inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure loads are secured and lifted safely.
- Assist with site logistics and material distribution.
- Follow all site health and safety rules, including lifting operations and traffic management plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and other operatives.
- Complete relevant paperwork, vehicle checks, and maintenance records.
- Support general site activities when telehandler duties are not required.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Operator Card.
- Previous experience operating a telehandler on construction sites.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
