We are currently working with a specialist refrigeration contractor delivering supermarket and retail refrigeration projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Refrigeration Install Engineer to support ongoing installation works within live supermarket environments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with supermarket refrigeration experience looking to join a busy and well established business with consistent work and long term progression opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Installing commercial refrigeration systems within supermarkets and retail environments
- Carrying out pipework installations, bracketry, condensers, cabinets and associated refrigeration equipment
- Pressure testing refrigeration systems prior to commissioning
- Working alongside commissioning engineers and wider site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation schematics
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship across live site environments
- Communicating professionally with site managers, clients and subcontractors
Tickets / Qualifications
- Valid F-Gas Certification
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Key capabilities required for this role include:
- Previous experience installing refrigeration systems within supermarkets or large commercial environments
- Strong understanding of refrigeration pipework and installation methods
- Ability to carry out pressure testing independently
- Experience working on live retail or supermarket sites
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health & safety
- Reliable, professional and able to work within fast paced project environments
Experience Required
- Proven background as a Refrigeration Install Engineer
- Experience working on supermarket refrigeration installs is essential
- Ability to work from drawings and installation specifications
- Experience working alongside commissioning teams, with understanding of the full installation process
- Comfortable travelling to sites as required
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a wider installation team
