Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Career Advisor to support individuals in identifying their career goals and developing effective pathways to achieve them. The successful candidate will provide personalised guidance, utilise teaching skills to deliver engaging career development sessions, and assist clients in making informed decisions about their future. Duties
- Conduct one-on-one career counselling sessions to assess clients’ skills, interests, and aspirations
- Develop customised career plans tailored to individual needs and circumstances
- Deliver engaging workshops and teaching sessions on CV writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies
- Provide ongoing support and motivation to clients throughout their career development journey
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and update plans accordingly
- Collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and community organisations to create employment opportunities
- Stay informed about labour market trends and emerging employment sectors to offer relevant advice
- Assist clients in preparing application materials and practising interview skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or delivering educational programmes, preferably within career development or guidance roles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client cases effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach towards clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to reach their full potential
- Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, or related fields are desirable but not essential
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous professional development in career guidance practices
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
