We are looking for a committed Employability Advisor to join our team and provide tailored support to individuals facing obstacles in securing employment opportunities. As a Employability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals develop essential employability skills, overcome barriers to sustainable employment and understand how the use of AI can support them in their journey to employment.
Responsibilities:
- Offer guidance on employability support strategies, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
- Collaborate with external agencies and employers to facilitate access to employment opportunities.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their employment needs are met.
- Provide one-to-one support tailored to each individual's employment goals.
- Utilise strong communication skills to engage with clients and empower them to take positive steps towards employment success.
- Stay updated on employability trends, regulations, and best practices to inform service delivery.
- Commit to ongoing professional development in the fields of employability support.
- Provide training on best practices to stay safe online
- Offer guidance on how to use AI platforms to search for roles, tailor their CV and Cover letters and prepare for interviews.
- Share information on how employers and applicant tracking systems are using AI to find and assess candidates.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in providing employability services to individuals facing barriers to employment.
- Understanding of employability support strategies, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employers, external agencies and employment services.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients, advocate on their behalf, and facilitate access to employment opportunities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of employability support.
- Familiar and confident using AI platforms such as Chat GTP and Copilot
- Experience using AI to support candidates in finding, applying and preparing for employment.
Desired:
- Experience in occupational, clinical, or counselling psychology.
- Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields.
- Previous experience working with the Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Justice, or NHS IAPT services.
