About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, organised, and compassionate Service Leader to oversee two of our Supported Living services for adults with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support and empowering individuals to live independent and fulfilling lives.
This is a full-time leadership role, primarily working during office hours. However, flexibility is essential, as the role will also require evening work, sleep-ins, weekends, and participation in the on-call rota to meet the needs of the service.
As Service Leader, you will lead and support a team of staff to ensure the safe, effective, and smooth day-to-day running of the services. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory requirements, and supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of Supported Living services
- Support, supervise, and develop staff teams
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, and service cover
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, CQC, and organisational policies
- Maintain accurate records, care documentation, and support plans
- Promote person-centred approaches and positive behaviour support
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide flexible support when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident in leadership, organised, proactive, and passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable adults.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience within Supported Living, residential care, or a similar setting
- Leadership or management experience within care services
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred support, and CQC standards
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
Desirable:
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
