We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes, ensuring their wellbeing, comfort, and independence. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients in maintaining their personal hygiene and health routines
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each client's specific needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients' conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits
- Experience in providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
Pay: £12.75-£13.60 per hour
