Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker to join our team, responsible for supporting various landscaping, construction, and maintenance projects. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, and lawn care.
- Operate hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shovels to prepare sites for planting or construction.
- Use power tools and machinery like excavators and irrigation systems to facilitate project tasks.
- Support with general site maintenance, including debris removal and site clean-up.
- Help with the installation and repair of irrigation systems and other horticultural features.
- Assist in the utilisation of mechanical equipment for excavation or groundwork activities.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating machinery such as excavators and power tools.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks around outdoor sites.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in site preparation and upkeep.
- Good physical fitness to handle manual labour involving lifting, digging, and operating equipment.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. Pay: £19.00-£21.50 per hour
