Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the smooth operation of our food and beverage services. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with their seating arrangements
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages promptly
- Ensure all tables are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
- Handle customer enquiries courteously and professionally
- Assist with setting up dining areas for events or special occasions
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including counters, utensils, and storage spaces
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure guest safety
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is mandatory
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the team
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
