Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in the kitchen and a passion for food, and good experience in kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, work with staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards,food production, and inspiring culinary excellence across the team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Monitor quality control throughout the cooking process to uphold consistent standards
- Assist in serving dishes when necessary, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences
Experience
- A background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- knowledge of menu development, food presentation, and customer service standards
- Experience working under pressure in busy kitchens while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including stock control and health & safety compliance
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving within a hospitality context is highly desirable
