Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join our team in supporting a school in Mansfield. As a Business Studies Teacher, you will inspire students to explore the world of business, develop their entrepreneurial skills, and prepare them for future success in the business world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and informative Business Studies lessons, covering topics such as marketing, finance, operations, and business management.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore business concepts, engage in critical thinking, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
- Introduce students to a variety of business models, case studies, and industry examples, fostering an appreciation for the diverse opportunities and challenges within the business sector.
- Provide opportunities for students to develop practical business skills, such as financial planning, market research, and project management, through interactive activities, simulations, and business projects.
- Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources, including multimedia presentations, guest speakers, and educational technology, to engage students and enhance their understanding of key business concepts.
- Assess student progress through a combination of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development and achievement in Business Studies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing the teaching and learning of Business Studies across the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, specialising in Business Studies or a related field.
- Relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for business education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and ethical business practices.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular business activities, competitions, and events.
