As a key member of our warehouse team, the Warehouse Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and distribution of book donations that make a meaningful impact worldwide.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
· Support the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of books
· Work with other team members to achieve book donation targets
· Contribute to the overall cleanliness and safety of the working environment by following health and safety practices
· Other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements for the role:
· Have previous experience working in a warehouse environment
· Have a collaborative approach to support a positive team environment to enable book donation targets and other KPIs to be met
· Have a full understanding of workplace safety regulations and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe and clean working environment for all team members
· Have the physical ability to carry out duties that involve lifting and bending, and possess a clear understanding of manual handling principles and best practices
· Be familiar using Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with strong attention to detail
· Experience and licensed to operate MHE (desirable)
Pay: £24,800.00-£26,000.00 per year
